The Association of Zambians in Seattle, Washington (AZISWA) was founded on January 22, 2006 in Seattle by Zambians living in the Puget Sound Region of Washington. AZISWA is a fully-registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in accordance with the US Federal non-profit corporation code. Our founding principles are aimed at supporting communities at the grassroots level in the fight against such everyday challenges as hunger, shelter, health, education and poverty through coordinating activities within the local Zambian Community. We also hold fundraising efforts and collaborate with other organizations to support development projects in Zambia.
AZISWA operates within the framework of its Constitution as well as State and Federal Laws.
AZISWA Membership is open to all area residents interested in the well being and development of Zambia as well as the welfare of Zambians in the Puget Sound Region.
