President's Note
Dear Fellow Community Members;
The 2011 Zambia's Indpendence Day Celebration is now behind us and to those of you that attended, I'm sure you will agree with me that it ranked up there, if not on top, with other great cultural, entertainment and educational events you have ever attended. We strive to bring you the best in culture, arts, fashion, food and dance. For this year's event, the organizing team and I put in a lot of effort to bring you yet another event you were going to enjoy, and I hope you did.
At the same time, I'm fully aware that there is always room for improvement and I just want to thank you for the feedback you gave us through the survey. We listened and we are taking it very seriously. Next time, you will be patting yourselves on the back for the results you are going to see, all because you suggested a better way of doing even the least important, but necessary, of things.
Allow me to also congratulate Elizabeth Malawo, Grace Maseko, Belinda Mulambo, Fortune Nyondo and, last but not least, Nelson Kabalo for being 2011's award recipients for outstanding contribution to the growth and well-being of AZISWA. We are proud of you and it's such an honor and blessing to have you all in our community.
We are already setting the stage for an even bigger and better 2012 Celebration but before we get there, we'll have plenty of other activities and events for which your support and involvement will be greatly appreciated. You can rest assured that you will be guaranteed fun and personal fulfillment in every activity and event you participate in, not to mention a sense of belonging to a strong and vibrant community. Also, remember that part of our core existence is to engage in charitable work and the activities and events will serve as an avenue for us to fulfill the work. So plan on participating!
In ending, the Holiday Season is just around the corner and I just want to wish you all a warm and joyous one. Get together with family and friends to share what the Season has to offer and also be a friend to someone who may be in need of one. You'll be amazed, to say the least.
Thank you, once again, for being there for AZISWA and rest assured AZISWA is there for you.
Warmest Regards,
Zakeyo Ngoma
AZISWA President
